Thank you Michèal!
1st June 2018
Dr Christy Duffy in his speech at Awards Evening last week spoke about Michèal Cassidy with special emphasis on the word, Caretaker. He felt it summed up Michèal's role perfectly. Michèal took care of Castlepollard Community College in every sense of the word.
This year the college find itself without one of the most important parts of the school, our Caretaker, Michèal Cassidy. After 34 years of outstanding service to the college, Michèal has decided to hang up his keys and retire. The staff, pupils and former pupils are grateful for everything Michèal has done for the school. On Awards Night, Michèal was presented with a lamp created by pupils under the guidance of Woodwork teacher, Mr Murphy, a poem written by Ms McManus' English pupils and a watch to provide Michèal with a reminder of his fantastic service to the school. A presentation was also made to Michèal's wife Emily and a huge thanks was extended to Michèal's family who were present on the night to celebrate his service.'
Once again Michèal. Thank you so much for everything you have done for the college!
