Student of the Year 2019

22nd May 2019

Awards Night this year was a huge success as the college celebrated the individual and collective achievements of the year from the classroom to the stage and of course on the sporting field.

The last award of the night was however the one everyone was waiting for. With such depth of talent in this particular sixth year group, it was very hard for the panel to decide on a Student of the Year for 2019. The following students were nominated to take part in an interview with tutors and representatives from Senior Management:

· Zoe Kane

· Zara Geraghty

· Denis Farrell

· Daniel Smyth

· Allyssha Moore

· Eleanor Harmon

· Megan Doyle

· Rachael Wheatley

Each of the students nominated are a credit to their families given their outstanding representation of the school over the last 5/6 years. Their ability to apply themselves to their work and add to the positive atmosphere and nature of the school is something to be commended. To add to those qualities, each student has contributed greatly to the extra-curricular aspect of the college in a different way.

Picking a student from this list was difficult but following the interview the panel deemed Allyssha Moore, a worthy candidate to be named the 2019 Student of the Year. Congratulations Allyssha from all the staff and students at Castlepollard Community College.
