St Patrick's Day Parade
2nd April 2016
Castlepollard Community College has always had a huge part to play in the local Castlepollard St Patrick's day parade and this year was no different. With the help of Michael Cassidy and Art teacher, Ms Mimnagh, the school put an award winning float together last year. This year with the 1916 celebrations and Irish Independence in mind, the College was inspired by an Irish historical figure who took part in the rebellion and has connections to the local town of Granard, Michael Collins.
The float looked magnificent on the day as a range of pupils took on the roles of various revolutionary characters who took part in the rising. Well done once again to all involved!
