Sixth Year put through their paces
22nd November 2018
As part of an extensive PE programme here in Castlepollard Community College, students in sixth year in particular have been given the opportunity to enjoy a range of sporting activities. With the stress attached to the importance of the Leaving Cert exam, students have been afforded a chance to blow of some steam in our Sports Hall with a range of sporting challenges. Recently, PE teacher Ms Harrison organised the expertise of strength and conditioning coach, David Kennedy to put the group through an enjoyable put testing programme which students can work on throughout the year.
Along with this students really had the opportunity to fight away the stress of the year through "Boxercise". This was a huge hit with the class as it provides another unusual avenue into the world of fitness.
