Positive Mental Health Week
11th April 2019
This week, the staff and students at Castlepollard Community College have been celebrating Positive Mental Health week with a range of events and activities to encourage the school community to take care of their mental health and the mental health of others.
Every day, students have listened to positive affirmations read out by the TY students and taken part in a guess the song from the positive lyrics game for a daily prize. Yesterday, a group of students in Home Economics, along with Ms Lohan, were kind enough to bake a massive amount of buns students and staff around the school.
Tutor classes this year have also taken to our running track around the GAA pitch to "Walk a Mile with a Smile". In order to raise money for Pieta House, students and staff are taking part in a "crazy sock" day today. More events will be revealed tomorrow. Thank you to Ms Kiernan, Ms McClean and all members of the Positive Mental Health team.
