4th October 2016
It has become one of the highlights of the year at Catlepollard Community College as we open up our fantastic facilities to the local primary schools for a festival of GAA. With both a camogie and hurling trophy up for grabs, the 6th year athletes put on fantastic displays of skill and passion on the day.
The day is run by our students from TY and 5th year as they organised fixtures, results and refereeing.
The annual C’mon Caman hurling and camogie blitz day was again a tremendous success with teams from St. Michael's, Castlepollard, Fore, St. Earnan's Delvin and Whitehall competing for the Aileen Lawlor and David Kilcoyne All Star Perpetual Cups with St. Michaels and St. Earnan's both retaining the respective cups again this year.
A sincere thanks to all teachers & coaches who mentored their school team on the day and to James Heffernan, GDA Westmeath Coaching & Games for setting up the Leinster GAA blow up pitch.
