Causey Farm Trip
16th May 2016
Thanks to the Irish Department, second year students were treated to a trip to Causey Farm recently. The trip provided students with an insight into Irish culture and rural life. Along with this, students built their communication skills(in Irish) with teamwork activities.
Students spent the day speaking in Irish and took part in uniquely Irish activities such as Ceili dancing and playing the bodhran. Some students were even shown how to milk a cow!
Perhaps the most popular activity of the day came when pupils took part in “bog-hopping” and were told about the history and formation of bogs in Ireland.
