Music & Drama
Perhaps the greatest marker of Castlepollard Community College's development over the last few years has been the production of the first school musical. The production which took place last Christmas not only met every standard but excelled in many areas. Under the tutelage of music and drama teachers Ms Leonard and Ms Kilbride, the students staged a captivating and thoroughly enjoyable performance of Voulez Vouz.
The College also took part in a Transition Year drama festival last year in the Mullingar Arts Centre, staging the play, An Actor's Nightmare. Students at Castlepollard Community College are given the skills and freedom to express themselves through music and drama. They are seen in the college as essential outlets for personal development in terms of the students' education. This year, the College has also acquired a full drama and theatre costume wardrobe along with a stage for future in house productions.
